The Florida Legislature is seeking a legislative analyst/attorney to conduct legal research on assigned topics, analyze bills, drafts, amendments, analyses, and provide counsel to legislators and legislative committees.

The role involves maintaining knowledge of transportation infrastructure and related Florida laws, monitoring implementation of legislation, and coordinating committee activities and meetings. A bachelor’s degree and bar standing are required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Good standing with The Florida Bar.
• Preference for experience with legislative process or related post-graduate degree.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze and summarize proposed legislation to determine effectiveness and impact.
• Research and draft legislation and amendments under direction of committee chair and policy chief.
• Monitor committee legislation and assist in planning meetings and materials.
• Brief and advise legislators in writing and verbally on issues for discussion.
