Job summary

Munro Footwear Group is seeking a temporary IT support specialist in Helena, MT for the legislative session, starting ASAP through June 30, 2027. The role is non-partisan and involves training on the vote system and running it during Floor Sessions (including Saturdays).

Responsibilities include help desk support, hardware/software/AV/network duties, account management, and equipment deployment. Open until filled; E-Verify applicable.

Qualifications

• Typically education and experience equivalent to a 2-year degree in computer science or related field.
• Includes computer-related classes and 2 years of experience performing computer or audio/video support.

Responsibilities

• Train on the vote system.
• Run the Legislative vote system during Floor Sessions (including Saturdays).
• On camera support, must maintain proper dress and appearance.
• Maintain political neutrality on bill voting.
• Provide level-1 tech support and respond to requests promptly to minimize staff disruption.
• Work with level two/three staff to resolve issues and escalate as needed.
• Manage user accounts, passwords, and access, and reset lockouts.
• Assist with setting up new staff, testing applications, deploying equipment, and documenting in tracking system.
• Provide in-person, phone, or email support for hardware, software, network, AV, and inventory database issues.
• Monitor help desk tickets and ensure timely resolution, escalate when necessary.
• Look for patterns in tickets to identify root causes.
• Inventory control of hardware/software/AV equipment; prep and verify deployments.
• Maintain branch asset inventory and assist with purchasing of equipment.
• Provide hands-on training on hardware and software to computer users.
• Keep current on latest software/hardware to maintain knowledge.

Education
