Job summary

The Pennsylvania House Democratic Caucus offers a paid internship designed for students in Government, Political Science, Public Affairs/Administration and Law. Learn the legislative process while supporting a hardworking team serving Pennsylvania residents.

Interns work 20 hours per week for 10 weeks and participate in multiple outreach and research activities, all onsite. Applicants should be at least 18 years old and ready to engage in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to listen and solve problems to fulfill constituent requests.
• Ability to present information clearly to constituents and colleagues.
• Ability to work well in a team and support events.

Responsibilities

• Responding to constituent inquiries.
• Drafting outgoing constituent correspondence after online research.
• Drafting responses to incoming constituent correspondence.
• Organizing and maintaining contact lists and reference material.
• Representing the State Representative at events as requested.
