State of Oregon’s nonpartisan Legislative Policy and Research Office (LPRO) seeks a highly motivated student to serve as a legislative analyst intern during the 2027 legislative session. The internship focuses on housing/homelessness, maternal and child health, or public health policy areas. Jan 4, 2027–end of session; approx.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher; current graduate student in a relevant master’s/PhD/JD/professional program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Oregon’s governance structure and public policy areas.

Responsibilities

• Support committee organization and administration.
• Assist with bill management, research, and policy analysis.
• Communicate findings clearly to stakeholders and collaborate with the LPRO team.
