Job summary

Tractor Supply Company is seeking a Team Member to assist customers, stock merchandise, operate the cash register, and keep the store clean and safe. You will support selling initiatives and deliver a Legendary Customer Experience. No experience is required, but retail or farming knowledge is a plus.

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required. Candidates should read, write, and count accurately and have strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Experience: No experience required. Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required. Regardless of education level, Team Members must be able to read, write and count accurately.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work scheduled shifts including varied hours, days, nights, weekends and overtime as needed.
• GURA: Greet, Uncover Needs, Recommend Product Solutions, Ask to Add Value & Appreciate the Customer.
• Operate cash register/computer following cash handling procedures.
• Recovery of merchandise and participate in mandatory freight process.
• Complete Plan-o-gram procedures (merchandising, sets, and resets).
• Assemble merchandise and perform janitorial duties.
• Execute price changes/markdowns; operate forklift and baler if allowed by age.
• Assist customers with loading purchases; ensure Legendary shopping experience.
• Ensure safety and well-being of birds; sanitize poultry holding tanks.
