Job summary

Shamrock Trading Corporation in Overland Park, KS seeks a detail-oriented paralegal/analyst to perform legal research on UCC filings, judgments, liens and tax obligations, and to file UCC-1 financing statements. You will maintain confidentiality, analyze bylaws and operating agreements, conduct risk analyses for new or existing clients, and help develop document controls.

This role requires teamwork and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or 1+ year experience; or 5+ years equivalent experience.
Background in underwriting and/or analysis preferred.
Experience with corporate filings and UCC financing statements.
Ethical and objective judgment with independent work habits.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities.
Paralegal certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform legal research on UCC filings, judgments, liens and tax obligations.
File UCC-1 Financing Statements and amendments.
Maintain quality standards and confidentiality on all projects and client and company matters.
Analyze corporate documents such as bylaws, articles, and operating agreements.
Complete risk analysis and due diligence review on new prospects or current clients.
Develop and implement processes to support document controls and safeguards.
Develop working knowledge of various businesses operating in other countries, if applicable.
Detect and resolve any issues involving account irregularities for current clients.
Become a partner in developing strategies to achieve company growth.
Work to keep all parties apprised of progress and/or issues.
With training, review agreements and revise as needed.
Work well within a team atmosphere.

Regular onsite attendance is an essential function of this position. The role requires direct collaboration with cross-functional teams, real-time problem-solving, and timely responses to customer and operational needs. As a customer-facing position, onsite presence facilitates efficient communication with colleagues and subject matter experts, enabling effective service delivery and faster resolution of customer inquiries and issues. The role also requires participation in team meetings, operational processes, and occasional onsite trainings that are critical to achieving customer service objectives.
