Job Description

The Senior Technical Program Manager / IT LegalTech Lead is an Individual Contributor role within the IT organization, supporting the Legal department. This role drives complex cross-functional technology initiatives, leads legal tech strategy, and ensures successful adoption of tools that modernize legal operations.

Technical Program Management Excellence

• Lead cross-functional programs spanning Legal, IT, and Information Security.
• Define scope, success metrics, and program roadmaps; oversee end-to-end execution.
• Manage vendor partnerships and influence product roadmaps to meet organizational needs.
• Facilitate requirements, prioritization, and delivery planning with senior stakeholders.

Legal Technology Leadership

• Serve as the in-house expert on legal technologies, including CLM, document automation, and AI-powered tools.
• Partner with infrastructure, development, and QA teams to plan releases and upgrades.
• Monitor legal tech industry trends and vendor roadmaps to guide strategic planning.

Support & Adoption Enablement

• Provide L2/L3 support, including onboarding, user provisioning, and workflow troubleshooting.
• Deliver live demos, training sessions, and onboarding materials for new technologies.
• Develop user guides, documentation, and training resources.
• Drive new tech adoption through targeted communication and engagement strategies.
• Identify process improvement, automation, and innovation opportunities within legal operations.
• Monitor usage, performance metrics, and satisfaction to guide optimization.
• Lead both tactical and strategic change management initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

Required

• 8+ years in legal business consulting, legal technology innovation, or legal managed services.
• Proven technical program management experience supporting large-scale legal operations.
• Deep knowledge of legal systems (CLM, e-discovery, compliance, etc.).
• Expertise in legal industry processes (regulatory compliance, IP management, M&A, data privacy).
• IT systems administration and L2/L3 support experience.
• Information security familiarity and organizational change management experience.
• Vendor management and coordination skills.

Education: Bachelor’s degree required; JD, MBA, or Master’s preferred.

Certifications (preferred):

• CLOC/ILTA/ACC
• CIPP/CIPM/CIPT
• PMP, CISA, CISM, CISSP
• Agile/Scrum
• Lean/Six Sigma
