The Legal Technology Platform Administrator will oversee DeepJudge platform administration, user support, training, and adoption across the firm, coordinating with IT, Knowledge Management, and vendor teams.

Ideal candidates have a technical mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with both legal professionals and technologists to apply AI-enabled tools to workflows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field preferred
  • 3+ years supporting enterprise software or legal tech preferred
  • Experience in law firm or professional services environment is a plus
  • Experience with AI-enabled legal tech platforms is desirable
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams and identity/access concepts recommended
  • Experience tracking support tickets and delivering user training preferred
  • Strong communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary internal resource for DeepJudge platform administration, support, and user enablement

  • Triage, troubleshoot, document, and resolve user support requests

Job description

Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP is a nationally recognized Am Law 200 law firm with over 500 attorneys servicing clients in 40 offices and 22 states seeking an experienced Legal Technology Platform Administrator (Deep Judge). The Legal Technology Platform Administrator (DeepJudge) will serve as the firm’s primary resource for administration, user support, training, and adoption of the DeepJudge platform. This role bridges legal users, Innovation, Information Technology, Knowledge Management, and vendor support to ensure the platform is configured, maintained, and used effectively.

This position is responsible for supporting platform access, troubleshooting user issues, documenting best practices, coordinating enhancements, and helping attorneys and business professionals apply DeepJudge to appropriate legal and business workflows. The role requires strong technical aptitude, excellent judgment, a service-oriented mindset, and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ideal candidates are organized, responsive, comfortable learning AI-enabled legal technology, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced professional services environment. This individual should be able to translate user needs into practical support solutions while maintaining confidentiality, security awareness, and consistent documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary internal resource for DeepJudge platform administration, support, and user enablement
  • Configure and maintain user accounts, roles, permissions, groups, and access controls in coordination with Information Technology and security requirements
  • Triage, troubleshoot, document, and resolve user support requests related to DeepJudge functionality, access, errors, and platform usage
  • Escalate complex technical issues to vendor support or internal IT resources and track issues through resolution
  • Maintain platform documentation, user guides, FAQs, support playbooks, and internal best practices
  • Partner with attorneys, practice groups, business professionals, Knowledge Management, Innovation, and IT to identify practical DeepJudge use cases and workflow improvements
  • Test new features, configuration changes, updates, and enhancements before broader deployment
  • Support user onboarding, training sessions, office hours, and adoption communications
  • Monitor usage trends, user feedback, recurring issues, and support activity to recommend improvements
  • Assist with governance, responsible AI use, confidentiality, data security, and compliance considerations related to platform usage
  • Coordinate with the DeepJudge vendor on technical questions, product updates, roadmap items, and issue resolution
  • Support integrations or data connections involving approved firm systems, document repositories, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, or other legal technology tools as assigned
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders regarding support status, training needs, known issues, and recommended next steps
  • Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned

Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; degrees in Information Technology, Legal Studies, Business, Knowledge Management, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise software applications, legal technology, knowledge management systems, or technical support functions preferred
  • Experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, professional services firm, or similar environment preferred
  • Experience supporting AI-enabled legal technology platforms, research tools, document analysis tools, or knowledge management platforms preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Active Directory, or identity/access management concepts preferred
  • Experience working with vendors, tracking support tickets, documenting solutions, and delivering user training preferred
  • Prior DeepJudge experience is strongly preferred but not required if the candidate demonstrates strong technical aptitude and legal technology support experience
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn and administer enterprise software platforms
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and issue-management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond promptly in a fast-paced legal or professional services environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, documentation, and sound judgment
  • Comfort working with AI-enabled tools, legal technology platforms, knowledge repositories, document management systems, or similar systems
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys, business teams, IT, Innovation, Knowledge Management, and vendors
  • Client-service orientation and ability to build credibility with users across offices and practice groups
  • Ability to identify recurring issues, recommend process improvements, and create repeatable support materials
  • Understanding of security, permissions, access controls, and responsible technology use preferred

This role is primarily focused on DeepJudge administration, technical support, user training, adoption, documentation, and issue resolution, with responsibility for helping the firm use the platform consistently, securely, and effectively.

As the platform matures and usage expands, the individual in this role may have opportunities to contribute to broader legal technology, AI governance, workflow automation, knowledge management, reporting, and innovation initiatives based on business needs, team priorities, individual performance, and demonstrated capability.

Over time, the role may also provide exposure to:

  • Participating in AI and legal technology governance discussions and rollout planning
  • Developing advanced training materials, use-case libraries, prompt guidance, and practice-group specific support resources
  • Supporting evaluation, testing, and implementation of additional legal technology tools or integrations
  • Analyzing product usage and support trends to inform adoption strategy and workflow
