  • Identify opportunities to use generative AI tools to improve efficiency in legal workflows and help other department members in adopting those tools consistent with firm policies.

In addition, a portion of the Legal Specialist’s time may involve managing projects within the legal department, which may require coordination with other departments, in some cases to achieve compliance with new regulatory requirements. Project management responsibilities include:

  • Tracking of risks and issues.
  • Managing stakeholders’ communications—including coordinating input and feedback requests across multiple departments and third parties as needed.
  • Managing the required documentation for the project.
  • Reviewing new versions of deliverables for overall quality control.
