Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office in Roanoke County seeks an administrative professional to support prosecutors with document management, scheduling, and database usage in a busy legal office.
Responsibilities include maintaining case files, coordinating court hearings, handling confidential information, and providing courteous service to the public and partner agencies.
Provide administrative support to prosecutors in the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office. This includes document management, scheduling and calendar management, maintenance and/or utilization of multiple computer databases, communicate with other departments, agencies and the public and other general administrative duties.
Hours Required for this position: 40
Required: Education equivalent to graduation from high school supplemented by college level courses in office administration, law or related field.
Required: Experience with administrative tasks in an office environment.
Preferred: Experience as a legal assistant or paralegal.

Strong organizational and time management skills. Detailed knowledge of Virginia criminal law and procedure. Excellent communication skills. Strong work ethic. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public.
