The Legal Recruiting Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Firmwide Legal Recruiting Manager and Specialist to implement recruiting initiatives for the New York, Charlotte, and Washington, D.C. offices. Maintaining professionalism and confidentiality is essential.

Katten offers a hybrid work model (KattenFlex), allowing on-site and remote work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing summer associate programs across offices; prepare materials, coordinate events, facilitate invitations, track RSVPs, and support reviews. Occasional travel may be required.
  2. Support the on-campus interview process, including registration, scheduling, outreach, evaluation collection, and candidate follow-up.
  3. Assist with 1L hiring processes for the specified offices.
  4. Support lateral non-partner hiring, maintain recruiting database, post jobs, and assist with interview scheduling.
  5. Help prepare NALP forms and other survey responses.
  6. Generate reports on the legal market and participate in recruiting team meetings.
  7. Perform special projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  1. Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of attorney recruitment experience in a law firm or similar setting.
  2. Proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel; familiarity with viDesktop/viRecruit, Symplicity, Flo Recruit is beneficial.
  3. Excellent communication skills; ability to interact courteously with diverse groups.
  4. Willingness to work occasional overtime during peak seasons.
  5. Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills, with the ability to analyze data and produce detailed reports.
  6. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes.
  7. Dependable team player with initiative, creativity, and independence.

Salary range in New York: $45,000 to $60,000, with adjustments based on experience.
