Job summary

The Oregon Department of Corrections seeks a Library Coordinator to supervise adults in custody using legal resources and to coordinate legal calls for ODOC or OCE staff in Salem. Role involves customer service, troubleshooting, and helping staff access library services while upholding security policies.

Ideal candidate will have library-related training or experience, strong prioritization, integrity, and boundary-setting.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience coordinating or directing a clerical support function.
• Preference will be given to applicants with library training or experience.
• Courses or training in Office Occupations or Office Technology may substitute for up to one year of the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise adults in custody accessing legal resources.
• Coordinate legal calls and law library appointments.
• Provide customer service and support for technical issues.
• Facilitate library services and related activities.
• Schedule attorney-client calls and law library appointments in accordance with laws and policies.
• Collaborate with security staff to coordinate adult in custody availability.
