Job Description
The Content Director is responsible for driving Legal E-Learning interactive content development. Based on input from the market, this person will execute our strategy to produce a consistent, quality stream of new courses throughout the year. The candidate will also identify and leverage subject matter experts and writers to assist with these efforts. The objective is to create value-added content that maximizes demand and growth for our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the content development and refresh schedule for non-webinar programs, including script writing.
- Ensure scripts address desired topics, contain correct key messages, and align with style, guidelines, and objectives for interactivity and engagement.
- Lead the expansion of our learning series on compliance, risk management, professional skills, management, leadership, generative AI, and more.
- Engage with internal and external subject matter experts and attorneys to draft compelling training scripts and exercises.
- Coordinate with product and marketing teams to research customer needs and desires.
- Review courses developed by eLearning developers to ensure concepts are accurately realized.
- Stay updated with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in learning.
- Participate in change management initiatives by fostering open communication.

- Legal domain knowledge or expertise.

- Understanding of the professional education landscape, especially legal, tax, and accounting fields.
- Familiarity with interactive course management tools (Storyline, Articulate, Captivate).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Technical and digital literacy.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- JD required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combined with relevant experience.
- 10+ years of experience, including at least 5 in eLearning/content development (preferably legal content).
- 3-5 years of script development experience.
- At least 5 years of supervising others.
