Base pay range

$130,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

About the Role

We’re hiring a Legal Counsel to support our U.S. and Brazil operations. You’ll handle a broad portfolio of commercial, marketing, and employment legal matters, providing timely and practical guidance across business-critical initiatives. From negotiating agency agreements to advising on product claims, this role is hands-on, high-impact, and integral to our legal operations.

You’ll report directly to the General Counsel and collaborate cross-functionally with leaders across Legal, HR, Marketing, Commercial, Supply Chain, and beyond. The ideal candidate will balance legal rigor with commercial acumen and a solutions-first mindset.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts (sales, marketing, tech, procurement, distribution, R&D).
• Supporting e-commerce agreements, innovation initiatives, and employment documentation.
• Advising on advertising, marketing campaigns, and product claims to mitigate risk.
• Partnering with HR on workplace policies, compliance, and employee relations.
• Providing day-to-day legal counsel to teams in the U.S. and Brazil, balancing legal exposure with business needs.
• Coordinating with external counsel for local and specialist legal issues.
• Assisting with legal due diligence, M&A activity, and corporate governance.
• Managing internal legal templates, SOPs, and process improvements.
• Ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Who You Are

• Licensed attorney with a J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school; admitted in New York.
• 4–7 years’ experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
• Skilled in commercial contracts, marketing law, and employment legal support.
• Bonus points for experience supporting LATAM (especially Brazil) and Portuguese proficiency.
• Detail-oriented and business-savvy with strong judgment and a proactive approach.
• Effective communicator who collaborates well across cultures and functions.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, international environment.
