The Position

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice in New York
• 2-7 years of litigation experience
• Experience with asbestos and general liability insurance a must
• Experience with other insurance defense including, toxic torts, construction, construction defect, NY labor law, and premise liability, a plus
• Strong communication, writing, and research skills

Responsibilities

• Work on multiple cases simultaneously from inception through trial as part of a coordinated defense litigation team
• Attend/conduct depositions for multiple types of defendants regarding different types of products
• Primary drafting of client reports, motions, pretrial disclosures, settlement releases and other legal filings
• Argument of motions and attendance at conferences before NY Judges, and arguments and conferences before the Special Master.
