Solve Intelligence is seeking a Legal Counsel to support our US expansion, partnering with our GC, CEO, and CTO to ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and accelerate our commercial engine.

You will own high-stakes B2B SaaS negotiations, guide product and research teams on guardrails for AI, and navigate privacy, security, and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions from New York.

Competenze

• J.D. from an accredited school and bar admission to practice in New York.
• 5+ years at a top-tier law firm and/or high-growth in-house environment.
• Proven track record negotiating complex B2B SaaS agreements.
• Excellent writing skills and ability to simplify complex legal concepts for non-lawyers.

At Solve Intelligence, we are building the AI-powered engine for the global Intellectual Property industry. We have real paying users, exponential growth, and a high-caliber team of AI PhDs and engineers.

The Role: Legal Counsel

As a key member of our growing legal team, you will be at the center of our US expansion. You'll partner directly with our GC, CEO, and CTO to ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and accelerate our commercial engine.

What You'll Own

• Commercial Powerhouse: Draft, review, and negotiate high-stakes B2B SaaS contracts with some of the world’s largest law firms (e.g., DLA Piper) and tech enterprises.
• AI & Product Guardrails: Provide business-oriented legal guidance to our AI researchers and engineers to help shape the product roadmap safely and innovatively.
• Global Compliance: Navigate privacy (GDPR/CCPA), security reviews, and regulatory landscapes across multiple jurisdictions.
• Scalable Infrastructure: Help build the policies and processes that allow a high-growth startup to scale from 600 teams to thousands.
• Problem Solving: Develop creative solutions for novel legal issues arising from generative AI.

• Sanj (CRO): PhD in AI (Gatsby Unit, UCL), ex-Huawei R&D, former lead at Magic Carpet AI (acquired).
• Chris (CEO): PhD in AI (UCL), published researcher, ex-Dyson and Alan Turing Institute.
• Angus (CTO): MEng Computer Science, ex-Qualcomm and Coremont (Brevan Howard).

What You Bring

Must-Haves

• JD & Bar Admission: J.D. from an accredited school and qualified to practice in New York.
• Experience: 5+ years at a top-tier law firm and/or high-growth in-house environment.
• SaaS Expertise: Proven track record negotiating complex B2B SaaS agreements.
• Communication: Exceptional writing skills and the ability to simplify complex legal concepts for non-lawyers.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with AI regulation and product counseling.
• Background in IT security, data privacy, or corporate law.
• USPTO Admission: Admitted to practice before the USPTO.

Compensation Range: $150K - $220K
