Job summary

AXISCADES is seeking a Legal/Contracts Specialist to draft, negotiate and manage contracts in Irving, TX. The role requires handling procurement documents, MSAs and SOWs, ensuring SOX compliance, and coordinating with Procurement, Legal, and Business teams globally.

The position is full-time and onsite in Irving, Texas, with responsibility for managing a high volume of contracts and advising on terms and conditions throughout the lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Draft contracts, task orders, and work requests.
• Manage and negotiate contracts with suppliers and clients.
• Define, track, and report on contract status in internal Contract Management Tool.
• Provide legal advice and guidance on contract terms and conditions.
• Evaluate bids and research current regulations.
• Create, manage, and oversee all contractual agreements and documents between subcontractors and owners.
• Conduct initial meetings with prospective subcontractors.
• Manage all change orders.
• Handle over 250 contracts annually.
• Prepare, review, execute, archive procurement documents such as MSAs, SOWs, Amendments, and Schedules using enterprise tools.
• Manage the contract workflow in procurement system, including gathering internal inputs, routing for approvals, and coordinating signatures.
• Act as a key liaison for internal clients and stakeholders, ensuring clarity on contract process, status, and expectations.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and SOX requirements throughout the contracting process.
• Work cross-functionally with Procurement, Legal, and Business teams globally.
• Monitor contract velocity and participate in reporting and data analysis.

Job Duties:

• Drafting contracts, task orders, and work requests
• Managing and negotiating contracts with suppliers and clients

• Involve in diplomacy and drafting, especially in disputes and contract drafting.
• Handle over 250 contracts annually (subject to volume increases).
• Prepare, review, execute, archive legal procurement documents such as MSAs, SOWs, Amendments, and Schedules using enterprise tools.
• Manage the contract workflow in procurement system, including gathering internal inputs, routing for approvals, and coordinating signatures.
• Act as a key liaison for internal clients and stakeholders, ensuring clarity on contract process, status, and expectations.
