Job summary

LexisNexis Legal & Professional is seeking a Legal Content Analyst to support legal operations, content management, and business processes that enable acquisition, organization, analysis, and delivery of legal content. You will collaborate with legal, operations, technology, and product teams to drive content expansion and automation initiatives.

The role emphasizes analytical and organizational skills to support strategic objectives and the delivery of high-quality legal content.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional work experience.
  • Experience supporting legal operations, legal publishing, content operations, research, or similar environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with data, reporting, dashboards, and performance metrics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform law-related activities including legal and factual research, document analysis, citation verification, contract administration support, and content preparation.
  • Coordinate and oversee the lifecycle of legal content from collection through processing, batching, and delivery.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze operational reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to support business decision making.
  • Assist leadership in establishing operational goals, monitoring progress, and implementing strategic initiatives.
  • Manage content sorting processes, including evaluation and refinement of inclusion and exclusion parameters.
  • Coordinate the handoff of content from multiple collection sources into downstream processing and batching pipelines.
  • Support vendor identification, onboarding, relationship management, and evaluation of new content opportunities.
  • Analyze operational challenges, identify root causes, recommend solutions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

About The Role

The Legal Content Analyst supports a broad range of legal operations, content management, and business process activities that contribute to the acquisition, organization, analysis, and delivery of legal content. Working across legal, operations, technology, vendor management, and product teams, this role helps drive content expansion, operational excellence, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement. Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional work experience
  • Experience supporting legal operations, legal publishing, content operations, research, or similar professional environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with data, reporting, dashboards, and performance metrics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross‑functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor degree
  • Experience with legal content, court records, legal publishing, or legal research
  • Experience supporting AI, automation, or digital transformation initiatives
  • Experience working with vendors or external content providers
  • Knowledge of workflow optimization and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience using reporting and business intelligence tools

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $53,900 - $89,800. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. Base Pay Range for CO is $53,900 - $89,800. Base Pay Range for IL is $56,500 - $94,200. Base Pay Range for Chicago, IL is $59,300 - $98,700. Base Pay Range for MD is $56,500 - $94,200. Base Pay Range for NY is $59,300 - $98,700. Base Pay Range for New York City is $64,700 - $107,700. Base Pay Range for Rochester, NY is $53,900 - $89,800. Base Pay Range for OH is $51,200 - $85,300. Base Pay Range for NJ is $63,448- $101,352.
