Job summary

Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies is seeking a Legal Billing Supervisor for the Claims department in the Bay Area. You will oversee a team of Legal Bill Analysts, ensuring accurate invoices, proper firm and claim assignments, and adherence to business rules for processing.

The role requires five years of related experience, supervisory ability, and knowledge of legal billing. A Paralegal certification is preferred and a hybrid work schedule is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of related experience or equivalent.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of legal billing and/or workers' compensation claims.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; able to learn proprietary software.
• Experience with CouncilLink by LexisNexis is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee review and entry of legal invoices for Claims.
• Lead and develop Legal Bill Analysts to ensure accurate billing and firm assignments.
• Manage workflow, set objectives, and ensure timely results.
• Identify and implement process improvements for billing accuracy.
• Provide performance feedback and coordinate with HR and leadership.
• Create and maintain reports on team performance and costs.
