Job summary

Adyen seeks an Associate Corporate Counsel in New York City to handle disputes, advise on commercial outcomes, and support governance, advisory, and corporate development projects worldwide.

You will provide cross‑functional legal guidance to regulatory, procurement, and partnerships teams, contract with vendors, and help scale corporate processes. This role requires a law degree and 1.5+ years of relevant experience, with on-site work in NYC.

Qualifications

• Law degree and at least 1.5 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong generalist legal experience in commercial or corporate law.
• Available to work from our New York City office; office-first company, no remote-only roles.

Responsibilities

• Handle disputes autonomously, advising Adyen on commercial outcomes and finding pragmatic solutions.
• Assist the Governance team in the US, facilitate local board meetings in the US and Canada, and help draft and guide board meetings throughout LATAM.
• Support the global governance team.
• Assist the Advisory team on large corporate projects such as corporate development, capital markets, and disclosures.
• Provide legal advice across corporate functions, supporting teams such as regulatory, procurement, and partnerships.
• Contract with third-party vendors, including review and negotiations of service agreements and licence agreements; lead re-contracting efforts of major projects such as DORA and EBA.
• Contribute to business and legal projects globally covering regulatory implementation, cross-functional projects, product, and procurement.
• Track new legislative proposals and other legal and compliance developments relevant to Adyen worldwide.
• Provide input on the Corporate Legal team’s use of AI and other efforts to achieve scalability and automation.

The annual base salary range for this role is $135,000–$175,000.
