Job description

The Law Office of Robert B. Jobe is a nationally recognized immigration law firm based in San Francisco, California. We specialize in removal defense, with a strong track record of successfully litigating high-impact cases that have shaped immigration law in the western United States. Our practice also includes family-based immigration matters, but our core mission centers around defending individuals and families facing deportation.

We are currently hiring Legal Assistants to join our removal defense team, with additional openings supporting our family-based unit. While previous immigration experience is a plus, it is not required. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to immigrant rights and, ideally, some familiarity with proceedings before the Immigration Court, Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), USCIS, or ICE.

What We're Looking For:

  • A no-drama, can-do attitude
  • Strong work ethic and dependability
  • Ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive deadlines
  • Deep empathy and compassion for vulnerable clients
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Preferred but Not Required:

  • Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, Punjabi, and/or Hindi
  • Experience with asylum applications, cancellation of removal, motions to reopen, and appeals

Our team works primarily remotely, with optional access to our downtown San Francisco office. COVID-19 safety protocols are strictly enforced, and vaccination is required for in-office work.

How to Apply:

Please email a PDF version of your cover letter and resume. Also, paste your cover letter and resume into the body of the email. If you have questions about the role, please reach out by email only—no phone calls, please.
