Agency Description
The Law Department provides legal services to the City of Philadelphia, including the Civil Practice and the Corporate and Tax Group. The Regulatory Law Unit represents the City in commercial, utility, transportation, environmental, development, regulatory, and sustainability matters. The Water Division handles legal services related to the water, sewer, and stormwater utilities.
Position Summary
The Legal Assistant will support the Water Division attorneys by drafting contracts, handling hearings, preparing case files, and providing administrative support. The position is based at 1101 Market Street, working directly with the Water Department.
Essential Functions
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Paralegal studies from an ABA approved program or experience in contract management or administrative hearings is preferred.
