Small Law Firm | Colorado Springs, Colorado
Full-Time, Primarily In-Office
30-37/hour, depending on experience and qualifications
We are a four-attorney law firm seeking an exceptional Legal Assistant & Office Manager to become a central member of our small, professional office.
This is not simply a receptionist or clerical position. We are looking for someone who is highly capable, organized, personable, resourceful, and comfortable taking responsibility for keeping a busy professional office running smoothly.
The position combines client service, scheduling, office management, attorney support, and—depending on the candidate’s experience and interests—higher-level legal and paralegal work.
Responsibilities include:
Some attorneys require more hands-on administrative and legal support than the others, so an important part of the position involves learning their practices, work styles, and priorities.
The qualities we value most are intelligence, judgment, initiative, organization, reliability, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Our ideal candidate:
Prior law-firm, legal assistant, paralegal, executive assistant, or office-management experience is welcome, but it is not required.
We are very willing to consider an exceptionally capable person who has limited or no legal experience but has demonstrated intelligence, motivation, maturity, strong organizational skills, and an ability to learn quickly. The right person can learn the legal and procedural aspects of the position; judgment, initiative, curiosity, and a strong work ethic are more important to us than having followed a particular career path.
Compensation is 30-37 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Benefits include paid vacation, generous paid holidays, paid sick leave, and participation in the firm’s 401(k) plan with an employer contribution for eligible employees.
The firm does not currently provide health insurance.
Thank you.
