Job summary

Millenniumsoft seeks a Legal Analyst in Indianapolis, IN to support the Legal Department on a contract basis. You will provide legal, organizational, and communications support while handling multiple projects with competing deadlines in a self-motivated capacity.

Responsibilities include preparing responses to foreclosures and bankruptcies, tracking case statuses, drafting contracts and memos, and assisting counsel with filing and distribution of documents.

Qualifications

  • 2- or 4-year relevant educational degree (e.g., Paralegal degree or certificate).
  • 2+ years in a law firm, government legal department, corporate legal department, or equivalent setting with exposure to legal terms/procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing responses to foreclosure actions, bankruptcy actions, and other legal process responses
  • Track status of foreclosure cases and Sheriff's sales involving IHCDA
  • Prepare legal documents such as contracts, mortgage/lien releases, reports, budgets, and internal communications
  • Sort, analyze, and distribute mail within the legal department
  • Assist Legal Counsel with word processing, filing, and document transmittal services
  • Transmit legal correspondence to clients, customers, outside counsel, and court officials via e-filing, mail, fax, or messenger
  • Manage special projects, including tracking progress, coordinating meetings, and maintaining organized case files
  • Review and update the SharePoint contracts database
  • Perform records and legal research, check legal forms for accuracy, and prepare/draft contracts and amendments
  • Perform other tasks as needed and assigned

Job Summary

Legal Support Resource needed to provide legal, communication, organizational, and decision-making support to the Legal Department, managing multiple projects with competing deadlines in a self-motivated capacity.

Experience
  • 2+ years in a law firm, government legal department, corporate legal department, or equivalent setting with exposure to legal terms/procedures
  • 2+ years in the same position/employer
