Job summary

Mercor is seeking experienced lawyers to evaluate and improve cutting-edge AI systems. You will assess AI-generated legal content and workflows, drawing on your litigation, drafting, and client advisory experience.

This engagement emphasizes rigorous legal reasoning, accuracy, and clear written English, with about 20 hours per week over 4–6 weeks; start date is immediate, payment task-based then hourly for the remainder.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Lawyer, Attorney, Counsel, or related legal practice role.
• Experience representing clients in criminal and/or civil proceedings, drafting legal documents, or advising on legal transactions.
• Ability to commit 20+ hours per week.
• Strong written English communication skills.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated legal memoranda, contracts, case analyses, and other legal artifacts for quality and accuracy.

• Compare AI-generated responses head-to-head based on legal reasoning, precedent application, and drafting rigor.

• Review legal scenarios involving litigation strategy, statutory interpretation, and client advisory decisions and provide expert feedback.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Lawyer, Attorney, Counsel, General Counsel, Prosecutor, or another closely related legal practice role.

• Experience representing clients in criminal and/or civil proceedings, drafting legal documents, or advising on legal transactions.

• Ability to commit 20+ hours per week.

• Strong written English communication skills.

• Duration: Approximately 4-6 weeks

• Payment: task-based (payment upon first task approval). Experts who complete their first task within the required timeline will then be qualified to be paid hourly for the remainder of the project.
