Job summary

Peak Partners SA seeks a skilled Legal Administrative Assistant to join its Personal Injury team in Baltimore. You will support attorneys, manage cases, and maintain accurate client communications and records.

Responsibilities include scheduling, document drafting, file openings, medical records, and liaising with insurers to move claims forward. A minimum of five years in a law firm setting is required to excel in this role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of experience as a legal administrative assistant in a law firm setting.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and filing with courts and agencies, a plus.
  • Experience with managing attorney calendars/scheduling, and drafting documents including correspondence, pleadings, binders and reports is required.
  • Proficiency in document management systems, Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe needed.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Provide administrative support to assigned attorneys and/or paralegals.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments and travel arrangements
  • Handle incoming calls, emails and mail, direct them to the appropriate personnel
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate case notes in our advanced case management system
  • Efficiently handle the opening and processing of cases/files, ensuring all necessary documentation is obtained
  • Request and organize supporting documentation and medical records
  • Meet and take phone calls with clients daily for both follow-up and/or new intake
  • Ensure clients follow through with treatment and providing necessary information
  • Confirm the medical providers clients have treated with prior to disbursing funds to ensure all providers are paid
  • Communicate with insurance companies through claims process

Peak Partners has an established mid-size Baltimore law firm client who is seeking a skilled Legal Administrative Assistant to join its Personal Injury team. As a key member of the firm, you will play a crucial role in supporting the attorneys by managing personal injury cases, maintaining clear and consistent client communication, and ensuring all case-related documents, records, and bills are accurate and up to date. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with an experienced and collegial team that handles a wide array of Personal Injury matters.

Key Responsibilities
