Job summary

Compassion International is seeking an experienced Planned Giving Officer to build and manage a Western US donor portfolio, focusing on planned and legacy gifts. The role designs personalized engagement strategies to align donor and ministry objectives, driving long-term revenue growth.

The incumbent leads complex donor journeys, coaches other relationship managers, and travels up to 50% as needed in a mission-driven fundraising environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Seven years of relevant experience in fundraising, planned giving, or estate planning.
• Equivalent education, training and/or certification may be substituted for experience and education shown above.

Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with donors and lead planned giving initiatives.
• Develop and manage legacy giving strategies and long-term revenue growth.
• Design multi-year cultivation plans for high-value donors and bequests.
• Coordinate with donors and professionals to structure gifts aligned with policy.
• Represent Compassion in speaking engagements and donor visits to inspire legacy generosity.
