Job summary

Window to the World Communications, Inc. in Chicago seeks a Planned Giving Director to guide strategic giving initiatives, coordinate across development, and advance major and blended gifts.

The role entails cultivating relationships with donors, executors, and professionals, managing the Newt Minow Legacy Circle, and ensuring effective estate administration and data tracking. Collaboration with legal and finance teams, plus leadership in advisory networks, drives a robust planned giving program

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 7-10+ years of development experience.
• Familiarity with planned giving vehicles and trends.
• Experience using donor databases; Tessitura a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall planned giving strategy and multi-year growth plan.
• Establish annual and long-term goals for planned gift expectancies, documented gifts, realized estate gifts, and donor engagement.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging gift vehicles and recommend program enhancements.
• Develop and manage the planned giving program budget, including marketing, stewardship, and events.
