Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System seeks a detail-oriented development professional to support the growing gift planning program. The Development Officer will report to the Senior Director of Development-Legacy Gifts and assist the program’s fundraising efforts.

This role operates in a hybrid work model with on-site expectations near the 42nd Street Midtown NYC office, and may require occasional evening or weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• 3 years work experience in fundraising, office setting, in fundraising, customer service, legal or marketing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn Raiser's Edge.

Responsibilities

• Support the gift planning program to raise current and deferred funds.
• Qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a modest donor portfolio.
• Provide admin support and project management for marketing of planned giving initiatives.
• Edit and format documents such as collateral, newsletters, and gift agreements.
• Draft correspondence and coordinate in-house mailings to Legacy Society members and prospects.
• Ensure Legacy Society member coding in database and timely acknowledgments.
