STARTEK LIGHTING AMERICA LLC in Libertyville, IL is seeking an Electrical Design Engineering Technician to support photometric testing, product performance documentation, LED driver programming, PCA design coordination, and engineering prototype activities across the product lifecycle.

The role collaborates with design engineering, manufacturing, quality, and external testing partners to ensure accurate performance data, reliable processes, and consistent product quality.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience with electrical testing, electronic components, LED drivers, and lighting controls.
• Experience operating, calibrating, or maintaining photometric testing equipment is preferred.
• Familiarity with IES files, photometric performance data, and luminaire specification documentation.
• Experience with LED driver programming, dimming systems, and lighting control technologies.
• Ability to read, interpret, and develop electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Experience with printed circuit assemblies, electronic BOMs, and electronic component documentation.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical systems and performing root‑cause analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to maintain organized technical documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work independently across multiple engineering functions.

Responsabilités

• Photometric Testing & Product Performance: Perform photometric testing with Viso goniometer and coordinate testing activities with Intertek services.
• Calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and operate the Viso photometric testing machine to ensure accurate and repeatable test results.
• Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures for photometric testing and equipment calibration.
• Review and maintain product performance data, including updates to photometric and electrical performance specifications.
• Update IES files for the entire product portfolio, including new product introductions and revisions to existing products.
• Maintain and update product specification sheets with current performance tables and verified technical data.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy across IES files, specification sheets, and other product performance documentation.
• Coordinate performance data updates with engineering and other relevant departments.
