Job summary

University of Utah’s Quest program seeks an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) to teach first-year undergraduate students in Quest courses. The position begins Fall 2026 with a two-year term and potential continuation based on evaluations.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent teaching, collaboration across disciplines, and a commitment to undergraduate education and student success.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or terminal degree in their field.
• Record of excellent and innovative teaching.
• Committed to collaborative, interdisciplinary work and improving first-year/undergraduate education.

Responsibilities

• Teach Quest courses: three to four sections per semester.
• Provide weekly office hours and engage in program service.
• Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and collaboration with partners.
