Job summary

The University of Utah's Quest program seeks a career-line Assistant Professor (Lecturer) for Fall 2026 in Salt Lake City. The appointment is for two years with renewal possible and potential promotion within Lectureship ranks after five years.

The instructor will teach Quest courses, participate in weekly office hours, and engage in service, including committees and collaboration with campus partners, to support first-year undergraduate success.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or terminal degree required.
• Record of excellent and innovative teaching.
• Experience collaborating in interdisciplinary environments.

Responsibilities

• Teach three to four Quest sections each semester.
• Hold weekly office hours.
• Engage in service, including faculty and university committees.
• Work with Quest students in Leadership Intern roles and with integrated partners.
• Engage in professional development activities and other program service.
