Salary range: The posted UC academic salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. See the salary scale for this position here. A reasonable salary estimate is $68,247 - $97,305 annually.
Percent time: Positions may range from 11% to 100% time for one semester or summer session.
Anticipated start: Applications for fall teaching are reviewed in March and April, spring in October and November, and summer in March. Positions typically start at the beginning of the semester (mid-January for Spring, mid-August for Fall).

The Department of Comparative Literature at UC Berkeley seeks applications for a pool of non-tenure-track lecturers.
Teaching Responsibilities: Teaching or co-teaching small to medium courses in Reading and Composition, Comparative Literature, or American Cultures/Comparative Literature. Refer to program links for details.
General Duties: Include holding office hours, grading, advising, preparing course materials, and maintaining a course website.
Legal work authorization is required for non-US citizens or permanent residents by the start date. The department cannot provide visas.
Basic qualifications: Must have an advanced degree or be enrolled in an advanced degree program at application time.
Additional qualifications: An advanced degree is required by the start date.
Preferred qualifications: PhD or equivalent, college teaching experience in the U.S., ability to work with texts in multiple languages, and experience teaching reading and writing in English if teaching Reading & Composition.
