Job summary

The School of Environmental and Biological Sciences at Rutgers University invites applications for part-time lecturers for Spring 2025 to teach in undergraduate courses offered by the Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Natural Resources on the Cook/Douglass campus. Lecturers will meet weekly, provide lectures and/or hands-on labs, and handle grading, exams, and final grades.

They will post materials to Canvas, respond to student emails, and hold regular office hours for mentoring.

• Lecturer positions require strong teaching ability and ability to manage undergraduate coursework.

Responsibilities

• Meet weekly with class to deliver lectures and/or hands-on labs.
• Prepare, proctor, and grade homework, labs, quizzes, and exams; assign final grade.
• Post course materials to Canvas and respond to student emails.
• Hold weekly office hours for one-on-one or small group mentoring/consultation.
• Coordinate any other requirements related to instruction of the course.
