or M.A. (or equivalent) in a related field with demonstrated teaching success; exceptions may be made for strong professional backgrounds or a B.A./B.S. with relevant teaching experience.

Qualifications

• M.S. /M.A. or equivalent in related field with evidence of mastery in the area being taught and successful teaching experience are required.
• For a limited number of courses, consideration may be given to B.A./B.S. degree in the appropriate field along with teaching experience or strong professional background.

Responsibilities

• Teach Oceanography courses as needed.
• Contribute to department teaching and student mentoring.
• Participate in curriculum development and classroom activities.
