The School of Nursing at Aurora University invites applications for a full‑time Lecturer of nursing for the 2026‑2027 academic year. The candidate will provide high‑quality instruction to undergraduate and pre‑licensure, direct‑entry graduate nursing students, and/or Doctor of Nursing Practice students in the classroom, clinical, laboratory, hybrid, and online settings. The candidate will possess experience and knowledge in nursing education best practices and will hold an unencumbered RN license in the State of Illinois. This position is a 9‑month academic appointment beginning August 24, 2026.
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate, pre‑licensure, direct‑entry graduate, and/or graduate courses within the School of Nursing. The successful candidate will also work well in a highly collaborative departmental environment. The lecturer’s appointment will be assigned to teach 24 semester hours for the academic year. The lecturer will perform all other duties as assigned.
Ability to interact with individuals, either in person or via technology. Ability to be physically present in class and during office hours. Ability to stand next to and lift laboratory equipment. Ability to demonstrate physical activities.
