The James Madison University School of Music in Harrisonburg, VA seeks a forward-thinking Lecturer to build and teach a comprehensive music technology program that situates current and emerging technologies within composition, education, performance and theory. This is a full-time, 10-month renewable, non-tenure track appointment starting August 2027.

• Master's degree required.
• Fluency with existing and developing music technologies.
• Strong musicianship in the candidate's medium.
• Experience teaching or mentoring in the relevant field.
• Proven activity in music technology, production, performance or related scholarship.

Responsabilidades

• Teach courses in music technology across media.
• Collaborate with School of Music faculty to integrate tech learning.
• Coordinate with College of Visual and Performing Arts and the University.
• Support recruitment, retention, and curriculum development.
• Additional duties aligned with the candidate's expertise may be assigned.
