This is a full-time academic year appointment requiring instruction of in-person lectures, laboratory experiences, and student competition teams.Mentorship of individual students on research projects is also encouraged. Summer support maybe provided for a suitable work activity if program funds are available.The A. Teaching assignments will be provided by the Director of the USG Mechatronics Engineering Program. The expectation is that five of these courses will nominally be conventional courses taught as lectures or laboratories, and one class will nominally be curriculum development, advising, and other supporting activities (https://mechatronics.umd.edu/curriculum). Projected courses may include:-ENMT-322 Discrete Signal Analysis-ENMT-380 Introduction to Robotics -ENMT-372 Robotic Systems -ENMT-473 Motion Planning for Autonomous Systems -ENMT-477 Machine Learning in Mechatronics Engineering* Support curriculum development in these assigned courses including development of lecture notes, homeworks, exams, and laboratory modules.
