Responsible for conducting all scheduled classes; meeting course requirements as established by the department/program, preparing course syllabus, setting exams and homework, grading, maintaining weekly office hours and being accessible to students.

Minimum Qualifications

1. M.S. degree agriculture, plant breeding or molecular biology from an accredited university/institution by time of appointment.
2. Demonstrated ability to teach college-level face-to-face lecture and laboratory courses.
3. Working knowledge of plant biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology.
4. Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders.

Desirable Qualifications

1. Ph.D. or doctoral degree in agriculture, plant breeding, biochemistry, molecular biology or related field.
2. Success teaching large-enrollment sections and supervising GTAs/labs.
3. Demonstrated hands-on training innovations (e.g., Plant metabolic pathways).
4. Experience coordinating internships and industry partnerships; experience advising student clubs.
