  • ALA-accredited MLS/MLIS degree.
  • 5+ years of professional experience related to the listed areas of expertise.
  • Knowledge of pedagogical theory and state-of-the-art practice.
  • Documented effective teaching at the graduate level.
  • Ability to adapt pedagogy for changing methodologies, technologies, and student needs.
  • Commitment to departmental and school service, especially when curriculum development and instruction are key concerns.
  • Willingness to lead pedagogical and assessment initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Teach graduate courses in the LIS department; typically four course sections per semester and 3–5 different courses per academic year.
  • Supervise independent studies.
  • Mentor graduate students.
  • Contribute to course and curriculum development.
  • Contribute to department, school and campus service and the profession.
