University of Wisconsin–Madison invites applications for a Lecturer position to teach CIV ENGR 427, Solid and Hazardous Wastes Engineering, for Fall 2026. Lecturer – CIV ENGR 427, Solid and Hazardous Wastes Engineering
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Wisconsin‑Madison seeks a lecturer to provide classroom instruction for undergraduate and graduate students in the Fall2026 semester. The course of instruction is CIVENGR427, which introduces students to basic concepts in designing, evaluating, and operating solid waste storage, collection, and disposal systems; waste reduction, resource recovery, incineration and land disposal methods; hazardous waste engineering; and legal, political, and administrative considerations. The teaching schedule is Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:00–5:15PM, from September2, 2026 to December9, 2026. The period of employment starts on August17 and ends on December30, 2026.
Starting salary is $72,000, negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
A master’s degree in environmental engineering, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
