Job summary

Reports To: Associate Dean

LOCATION: Green Bay, WI

SALARY: $46.00 per class hour contracted

COURSE OFFERINGS: Available class offerings. Specific classes and schedule will be discussed in the interview process.

August 17 – October 12:

  • Wastewater Treatment- Liquid: Monday from 9:30am – 2:20pm and Wednesday from 9:30am – 12:20pm

October 21 – December 18:

  • Wastewater Treatment- Solids & Adv: Monday from 9:30am – 2:20pm and Wednesday from 9:30am – 12:20pm

January 19 – March 15:

  • Hydraulics & Hydrology: Tuesday/Thursday from 9:30am – 12:20pm
  • Surface Water & Distribution: Monday from 9:30am – 2:20pm and Wednesday from 9:30am – 12:20pm
  • AutoCAD for Civil Engineering: Monday/Thursday from 1:30pm – 3:20pm

March 24 – May 18:

  • Ground Water & Distribution: Monday from 9:30am – 2:20pm and Wednesday from 9:30am – 12:20pm
  • Environmental ChemAnalysis: Thursday/Friday from 9:30am – 2:20pm
  • Civil 3D Intro: Tuesday from 8:30am – 12:20pm
POSITION SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering instruction and assessment of learning outcomes.
  • Utilize engaging instructional strategies and methodologies which foster student success both in and outside of the classroom.
  • Maintain accurate student records and communication.
  • Advise and support students as a mentor and role model in the achievement of their learning and career goals. This includes being accessible to students outside of scheduled classroom time.
  • Provide educational leadership and work effectively with faculty, administration, and campus support staff.
  • Maintain Faculty Quality Assurance System requirements and licensure required by other agencies to maintain individual and program accreditation.
  • Comply with College policies and practices related to instruction, assessment, and delivery.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities will be discussed as needs arise.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Instruct students to prepare them to pass WDNR Operator and Laboratory Licensing Exams.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering or civil engineering (with environmental engineering emphasis) or chemical engineering

OR

  • Bachelor degree plus certified operator certification (e.g. wastewater operator; drinking water operator)

Experience

  • Five years of experience in water quality, wastewater treatment, air pollution, solid waste and industrial environmental reporting standards.

Certificate/License

  • Certified operator (e.g. drinking water, wastewater) required if bachelor’s degree is NOT in related field

**An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.

Other Requirements

  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the District’s standard insurance policy terms.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Material Handling : Ability to transport, move, lift, or carry materials and equipment required for the position, with or without assistance or adaptive equipment, if applicable.
  • Environmental Conditions : Some positions may involve exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, outdoor conditions, industrial environments, laboratory settings, or other position-specific work environments.
  • Communication : Ability to effectively access, interpret, and exchange information with students, employees, and community members.
