Job summary

The Hagedorn Little Village School in Seaford, NY is seeking a Leave Replacement Special Education Teacher to support preschool and elementary students with developmental disabilities. You will implement lesson plans and contribute to a nurturing learning environment.

The position is 12-month with school calendar plus summer session; 8:00 to 3:00, Monday through Friday; salary $52,000 to $55,000 with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• NYSED certification for Students with Disabilities Birth-Grade 2 and/or Grades 1-6.
• Ability to develop and implement differentiated instruction.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• ABA knowledge is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement lesson plans for students with developmental disabilities in accordance with NYSED guidelines.
• Maintain a 12‑month school calendar with 8:00–3:00 hours, Monday to Friday.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support student outcomes.
