Base pay range

$77,000.00/yr - $115,400.00/yr

This role will be on-site at Sysco Seattle: 22820 54th Ave S Kent, WA 98032 and will support Washington and Oregon.

Must be able to work second shift 1 day a week

Job Summary

The Leave of Absence Analyst is responsible for managing employee leave and return to work processes, ensuring a smooth process for colleagues while adhering to legal requirements and company policies. This role involves coordinating with HR, business leaders, colleagues, and our third-party leave and workers comp administrators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Leave Requests: Evaluate and process requests for various types of leave (FMLA, ADA, short-term disability, etc.) including coordination of state paid benefit programs.
  • Consultation: Provide guidance to colleagues regarding leave policies, procedures, and their rights including state paid benefit programs.
  • Return to Work: Review and audit Return to Work process for claims, including Return to Work transitional program, process with external vendor and internal business units to ensure compliance.
  • Documentation Review: Review medical documentation and other required paperwork to ensure compliance with legal standards.
  • Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for colleagues on leave, maintaining regular communication to address concerns and provide updates.
  • Collaboration: Work with HR, payroll, and management to ensure proper leave administration and return-to-work processes.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Stay updated on federal, state, and local leave laws to ensure compliance and implement necessary policy changes.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of leave requests, approvals, and denials.
  • Reporting: Generate reports on leave trends, usage, and compliance metrics for management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field and/or equivalent experience.
