Job summary

Hancock & Moore is seeking a skilled sewer to produce leather flatwork for our upholstered furniture lines. You will sew according to patterns, adjust machines for various leathers, and maintain consistent quality.

The role requires strong hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to read and follow detailed instructions. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with prior sewing experience a plus.

Summary Job Description

This position is required to sew leather flatwork for upholstered furniture.

Essential Duties

• Adhere to established sewing standards including: ½ seams, sewing is straight and in alignment with cover pattern, and no drop stitches
• Adjust machines to stitch various leather materials
• Good hand-eye coordination, concentration skills, and a demonstrated attention to detail
• Reads and follows instructions to sew specs and notes provided
• Maintains equipment and work area in an orderly manner
• Able to sew Flatwork for different product, top stitch and welt
• Must be able to work with different types of sewing machines
• Must be able to work off production work ticket to sew leather to request
• Works as part of a team to meet or exceed production goals
• Must follow all safety policies and procedures
• All other duties as assigned
