Job summary

Qualifications

• English required for reading tickets and job notes.
• Must be knowledgeable in receiving methods to complete job to quantity specifications.
• Must be able to recognize quality problems with fabrics, leather hides, color variations and pattern design.
• Self-motivated and able to work well alone or with others.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; basic computer skills.
• Must be a team player, cooperative, and have a good attendance record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in unloading trucks and processing inbound paperwork for orders.
• Verify and sign for quantity received.
• Inspect items for quality control and identify flaws or defects.
• Compare colors, textures, and patterns to verify conformance to standards.
• Record receiving and inspection data, including weights and quantities.
• Mark items with grade or acceptance status and assign cut codes as needed.
• Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and follow safety guidelines.
• Cross-train in receiving functions and support backup as needed.
