Qualifications

• English proficiency required for reading tickets and job notes.
• Ability to recognize quality problems with fabrics, leather hides, color variations and pattern design.
• Knowledge of item characteristics and repeat requirements for application to frames.
• Self-motivated and able to work well alone or with others.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; basic computer skills.
• Must be a team player with good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in unloading trucks, opening packages, and processing paperwork for inbound items to complete furniture orders.
• Verify and sign for quantity received.
• Inspect items for quality control and identify flaws, damages, color variation, and pattern issues.
• Compare colors, shapes, textures, or grades to verify conformance with standards.
• Reject items not meeting specifications.
• Record receiving and inspection data such as weights, grades, and quantities.
• Mark items with grade or acceptance-rejection status.
• Notify supervisors of quality problems.
• Maintain a neat, safe, and orderly workstation.
• Cross-train in receiving functions and serve as backup.
• Perform other duties as required by supervisor.
