U.S. Bank’s Government Leasing & Finance Group is seeking a seasoned Documentation Specialist in Oregon to support government leasing operations. This role focuses on accurate loan and lease documentation, funding readiness, and close collaboration with internal partners to ensure timely closings.

Candidates should have 6–8 years in leasing or financial operations, strong knowledge of funding requirements, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. U.S.

Job Description The Government Leasing & Finance Group (GLF) is a specialized business within U.S. Bank's Equipment Finance organization that partners with federal, state, and local government entities to provide equipment financing and leasing solutions. GLF supports a diverse range of public-sector customers and complex financing structures, requiring a deep understanding of both equipment finance and municipal/government leasing. The business is known for its highly specialized nature, serving customers with unique operational, regulatory, and documentation requirements while delivering financing solutions that help government organizations acquire essential equipment and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Loan and Lease Documentation Prepare and review loan and lease documentation, coordinating closely with the Documentation Preparation team. Manage documentation returned from doc prep through execution and transition to the loan closing function. Ensure all required documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant prior to funding.
• UCC and PMSI Processing Run comprehensive UCC searches to confirm lien positions. Submit PMSI filings and ensure proper PMSI status based on UCC results. Maintain first-position security interests for all applicable items.
• Subordination and Lien Management Prepare and manage a high volume of outgoing subordination letters. Coordinate with internal and external parties to secure required subordinations and ensure proper lien priority.
• Cross-Functional Coordination Work closely with Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, Legal, and other internal partners to resolve documentation questions and discrepancies. Actively track and facilitate all moving parts of a transaction to support timely closings and minimize customer impact.
• Funding Preparation Ensure all closing requirements are satisfied prior to funding. Submit completed documentation packages to the Funding team for DFS Wholesale transactions.
• Operational Excellence Maintain a high level of accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail. Operate independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines in a high-volume environment. Apply critical thinking to resolve complex documentation and closing issues.
• Team Support and Development Participate in cross-training to support both documentation preparation and loan closing activities. Provide team coverage as needed within a small, collaborative group. Learn primarily through peer-to-peer training, job shadowing, and desk manuals.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Six to eight years of experience in leasing or other financial operations

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Extensive knowledge of leasing and lending products, terminology, policies, procedures, legal documents, systems, and funding requirements
• Strong understanding of credit policies, approval processes, and applicable regulatory requirements
• Ability to work effectively across multiple functional areas to resolve complex documentation needs
• Strong critical thinking skills related to lease and loan documentation construction
• Ability to quickly learn and master multiple software applications; strong PC skills
• Strong mathematical abilities and general knowledge of basic accounting procedures
• Demonstrated commitment to quality customer service
• Strong general office and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Adobe experience is preferred
