Job summary

ONYX Multifamily Group in Tyler, Texas is seeking a motivated Leasing Agent to support the leasing process for The Finley, our multifamily community. You will greet prospective tenants, conduct tours, and guide applicants through the entire leasing cycle with excellent customer service.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in leasing or property management, strong communication skills, and knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of Leasing, Property Management, Real Estate, or related experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing requirements and applicable leasing regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet prospective tenants, providing a positive first impression.
• Assist prospective tenants throughout the leasing process by answering questions.
• Build rapport with prospective and current tenants and maintain positive relationships.
• Conduct property tours, showcasing available apartments and amenities.
• Explain features and benefits of units and the community to prospects.
• Assist with the application process and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
• Conduct tenant screenings, including background and credit checks, per policies.
• Assist with lease negotiations and ensure lease agreements are understood.
• Explain lease terms, rent payment procedures, and any fees.
• Collaborate with marketing to promote units online and on social media.
• Maintain knowledge of property features, pricing, availability, and community offerings.
• Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and maintenance requests.
• Maintain accurate records of leasing activities and prepare reports.
