Job summary

ONYX Multifamily Group in San Marcos, TX is seeking a Leasing Specialist to manage the leasing process from inquiry to application and lease execution. You will provide outstanding customer service, conduct tours, and promote available units to prospective residents.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and familiarity with leasing regulations. On-site property operations and collaboration with marketing support tenant satisfaction and community growth.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in Leasing, Property Management, Real Estate, or related field.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing requirements and applicable leasing regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet prospective tenants, providing a positive and professional first impression.
• Assist prospective tenants throughout the leasing process by answering questions and addressing concerns.
• Build rapport with prospective and current tenants and maintain positive tenant relationships.
• Conduct property tours, showcasing available apartment homes, amenities, and communal areas.
• Highlight the features and benefits of available units and the community to prospective tenants.
• Assist prospective tenants with the application process and ensure required documentation is complete and accurate.
• Conduct tenant screenings, including background and credit checks, in compliance with company policies and Fair Housing regulations.
• Assist with lease negotiations and ensure lease agreements are thoroughly reviewed and understood by tenants.
• Explain lease terms, rent payment procedures, and applicable additional fees.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to promote available units through online listings, social media, and other marketing materials.
• Maintain current knowledge of property features, pricing, availability, and community offerings.
• Provide exceptional customer service by responding to tenant inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Maintain a responsive, helpful, and professional attitude when interacting with tenants and prospective tenants.
• Maintain accurate records of leasing activities, tenant information, and lease agreements.
• Prepare and submit leasing reports and updates as required.

What You'll Own

As the Leasing Specialist, you will support the leasing process from the initial prospective tenant inquiry through the application and leasing process while providing exceptional customer service.

Your responsibilities will include:
